• Ulmus rubra, the Slippery Elm is a long-lived elm tree with a rich source of nutrients that heals and cleanses the hair, removing build-up that may be causing the tangles. (Ulmus rubra, the slippery elm, is a species of elm native to eastern North America, where it thrives in moist uplands, although it will also grow in dry, intermediate soils.)
